Night Out
Inspired by the current dopamine dressing trend, this collection is my perspective of the bright colors and bold silhouettes projected for S/S 23. Garments are solid colored in a deep black and bright hot pink with organza and satin. The contrasting colors and textures suggests the joy we have retuning to a post pandemic life.
I used bold colors to spark joy and silhouettes that have movement because I want the wearer to be taken back to their childhood wonderment while wearing formal clothing that it traditionally thought of as boring and stiff. I want women to feel excited to wear a garment that is flowy and fun to move in.
Through out the process of designing this collection, I thought about what women would feel excited to wear to high end events. I wanted this collection to represent the excitement and anticipation of returning to a life where we can be surrounded by people and attend events with the people we care about.
